Abstract

Nowadays, female migration has taken on global relevance and with it the risks for women during their journey. The migration of the Venezuelan population has resonated for several years in Latin America due to the growing social, economic, and political instability, forced the population to migrate to neighboring countries. Ecuador is one of the transit countries that connects the countries of the south, as well as the third country to host a percentage of migrants and refugees from Venezuela.
This essay exposes the main dangers faced by single women during their migratory journey through the southern border of Ecuador.
