Abstract

The trade relationship between Ecuador and the European Union is based mainly on tariff preference mechanisms such as the GSP+, in force since 2006 and in the process of being renewed until 2013. In an analysis of the last 20 years of relationship, this article It aims to analyze both the primary export pattern and the evolution of the bilateral trade balance and the changes suffered by exports of Ecuadorian products to the old continent.
