Industrial accidents have great impact on industries and more when they produce the death of his collaborators. The objective of this study was to evaluate the risk factors existing in a mechanical engineering company, categorize and rank them in relation to the degree of danger in the manufacturing area. The methodology used was by observing the activities in the workplace, and contrasted with mechanical risks suggested by the Ministry of Labor Relations of Ecuador (MRL). Later identified risks and quantitative assessment of William Fine, were recorded in the risk matrix proposed by the MRL.
