Quality criteria

TRACK RECORD: EIDOS is a journal published since 2009 for the academic and scientific community. It has the institutional endorsement of the UTE University in conjunction with UTE Editorial. Over 140 academic research papers have been published in it, and in its last four years, its focus has specialized in the field of architecture and urbanism at different scales, advanced architecture, social construction of habitat, public and social architecture; urban planning, urban resilience, urban design, public space design, as well as social participation in architecture and urbanism.

VISIBILITY AND ACCESS: It maintains a policy of open and shared knowledge access, with all its scientific papers published on its website for free. In addition to the authors' commitment to dissemination, the journal conducts constant activities to showcase the works (events, publications, interviews). Furthermore, the publication works on scientific outreach on social media (Facebook, Twitter) and academic social networks (AcademiaEdu, ResearchGate).

PUNCTUALITY AND SERIOUSNESS: It operates with responsibility and commitment to ensure compliance with deadlines. Authors can track the progress of their manuscripts through our OJS platform. In general terms, our phases adhere to the following times: a) Preliminary phase of manuscript estimation/rejection (maximum 30 days); b) Manuscript evaluation phase for rejection or acceptance 60 days (maximum 90 days); c) Online publication of the issue according to the periodicity (two issues per year - June and December).

PROCESS RIGOR: Consensus work is carried out to ensure a rigorous and demanding anonymous peer review process through an international council of reviewers external to the journal, consisting of more than 70 researchers specialized in architecture and urbanism. Each article is reviewed by 2 reviewers.

ETHICS AND COMMITMENT: The publication has an ethical code that guarantees the rights and duties of the entire scientific community: authors, reviewers, and editors. It also includes plagiarism checks and is inspired by the ethical code of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), addressing editors, reviewers, and authors.

INNOVATION, CREATIVITY, AND VANGUARD: EIDOS is constantly innovating its processes to ensure higher quality for its authors, reviewers, and editors. Editorial processes are carried out through the OJS 3 Platform, and multiple state-of-the-art tools are employed to optimize editorial management. We believe in creative and disruptive processes to showcase the works published in our issues.
