Abstract

The first “Needs Assessment Research Society for the National Ecuadorian Research” join in order to optimize the physical, human, technological and economic intended to University Research. This systematic and ongoing study aims to establish the relationship between the research projects developed by the joint venture with the requirements of national development and thus the Higher Education Integrated Technological University Siutes Equator-effectively meets the society and country. It was developed in Quito, Santo Domingo and Salinas cities, and in the communities closest to them and where the University is present academic research or social bonding. Was to reach the needs of the community through the information generated by local and regional public institutions, municipalities, prefectures and governorates. This first phase sought to align research priorities identified at national and local governments and their respective activities, with reference also to the opinion leaders and local business associations and more significant. We analyzed the National Policy on Science and Technology defined by the National Science and Technology SENACYT -today SENESCYT and major guidelines of the National Good Living Plan developed by the National Planning and Development SENPLADES, so the integration of government sources, institutional and social, define and enrich the priorities of the Technological Research University Equator. Thus, sets out the main lines of research training for the University, which account for one side to the country’s development strategy, but on the other side to the specifics of the university academic and teaching skills of the group themselves - researcher to the University. It should be noted that these lines are translated into lines of research training and research and graduation should be aligned with them.
