Abstract

In Ecuador “education is a right of people and an unavoidable and inexcusable duty of the State". This is provided for in the Constitution of 2008, and put into execution by the Organic Law of Intercultural Education 2011- LOEI: in order to ensures that all students, have access to quality education without any discrimination. This is a quantitative positivist approach work that has as objective: to determine the evolution of the index of educational inclusion of Booth and Ainscow in 30 regular basic education schools of the city of Manta during the period 2014 to 2015. For the empirical part of This war, it was selected the Aisncow and Booth inclusion index, presented in 2000 and adopted to the local context. It was applied for the periods 2014 and 2015, to a representative group of 30 public and private schools through the participation of 100 teachers of various levels of training, age and professional experience, who were working in the selected schools. The results obtained in this study confirmed a significant progress at the level of the political dimension: However, Weaknesses were still evident in the “practice and culture" inclusive education index dimensions in the city of Manta.
