This paper presents a reflection on the subject of entrepreneurship, defining what is and what is not an entrepreneur, the theoretical and political positions to be assumed according to dignify and promote the development of an entrepreneurial culture oriented towards a permanent search for opportunities for growth. Likewise the results of field research with entrepreneurs of the Parish “Luz de América” in Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, which shows how an attitude and individual perception of entrepreneurial nature involve different business results that are developed are presented.
